The U.S. Department of State announced in the Visa Bulletin For September 2024 the results of the 2025 Diversity Visa (DV) Program, and here’s what you need to know:

• The Kentucky Consular Center has registered and notified 131,060 selectees, which includes selectees and their immediate family members.
  
• Up to 55,000 permanent resident visas will be available for this year’s program, but only around 51,350 will be distributed due to special programs like NACARA.
  
• The winners were randomly selected from 19,927,656 qualified entries submitted during the application period (October 4, 2023, to November 7, 2023).

This random selection process allows for a fair chance for all participants, but because not everyone will complete their visa applications or be eligible, the larger number of 131,060 selectees ensures that all available visas will be issued before the program ends on September 30, 2025.

Who can Apply for further processing using the DS-260 form?

If you’re physically present in the U.S. with legal status, you can apply to adjust your status through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). For those outside the U.S., the next step is to schedule an interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Be quick, though—the program ends once all visas have been issued or by September 30, 2025.
